How ‘West Side Story’ producers sought authentic Latino representation for 2021 film

Screenwriter Tony Kushner said he and director Steven Spielberg researched "what the Puerto Rican community was thinking and feeling about our idea” for their reimagined ‘West Side Story’ film.
