Naomi Campbell appears on the cover of British Vogue with her daughter
Naomi Campbell is introducing her daughter to the world in the new issue of British Vogue.
The supermodel graces the March issue of the magazine with her 9-month-old, whose name she has not made public yet.
The stunning image was taken by famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, who Campbell has worked with many times before. She said that her daughter was "taking it all in" while they were shooting together on set.
“She loves the light. She’s inquisitive," Campbell said about her child. "She was looking at everyone – she looks at people right in the eye and for a very long time."
In the spread, Campbell, 51, discusses life with her daughter and briefly touches on her daughter's birth, sharing, "She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child."
"I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine," she told the outlet. "I’m lucky to have her and I know that."
The supermodel shocked her fans last year when she announced in May that she had become a new mother.
In her announcement, she wrote: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother ... So honored to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."
Campbell told British Vogue that she kept her pregnancy from even those closest to her.
"I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” she said. “But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done."
She also told the outlet more about how having a child also changed her. "My daughter comes first. Everything I do, I do for her – that’s it," she said. "It’s so completely selfless, isn’t it?"
The March issue of British Vogue hits stands on Feb. 22.
