Adidas and Peloton join forces to release inclusive apparel line
Adidas and Peloton have officially aligned to create an inspiring apparel collection.
It was announced on Thursday that both companies would be joining forces to release activewear rooted in shared values centered around inclusivity and community.
The initial Adidas x Peloton SS21 collection is slated to officially drop on March 25 and includes a variety of performance wear and lifestyle pieces that will be available in women, men and unisex styles.
There's also a wide range in sizing from XS-2X catering to diverse body types.
The 11-piece assortment includes a vibrant mix of tanks, tights, shorts, hoodies, tees, crewnecks, sports bras and joggers.
Adidas' creative design team collaborated with Peloton instructors Ally Love, Cody Rigsby and Robin Arzón to create an apparel collection inspired by the diversity reflected in its communities.
"This community is an inspiration to us, and we made this so that anyone can feel confident and empowered every time they wear one of these pieces," Arzón told "GMA" in a statement.
Both teams made sure to produce styles that felt inclusive and also delivered quality performance for high-energy workouts as well as comfort for relaxed days.
Rigsby shared, "We as a group wanted pieces of this clothing to represent what we stand for. For me, that's not conforming to what 'normal' is. Trust, I'll be grabbing a few pieces from the women's side."
This joint effort collection is Peloton's first-ever instructor-designed global-level collaboration.
To celebrate, the launch will also feature a series of on-demand classes available on the Peloton Bike, Bike+ and the Peloton App starting March 18 as well as live classes on March 25 when the line is available to shop.
"During a time where we are not able to be physically together, we have an incredible opportunity to help grow connected communities and continue to support people as they build their new fitness journeys at-home," said Aimee Arana, general manager for global training at Adidas, in a statement.
She continued, "With guidance from Ally, Cody, and Robin, we have designed a collection that is inclusive for all, representing the best of Adidas and Peloton's resilient communities. We look forward to bringing these brands together."
The news of Peloton's new collection with Adidas follows the interactive fitness platform's Black History Month-themed capsule collection to amplify voices and experiences within the Black diaspora through art.
