Tip 1: Search for slippers with arch support
"It's almost as if you're buying a regular shoe," Dr. Joy Rowland, a podiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic, told "GMA." "You want to get your slippers sized appropriately."
Tip 2: Look for a supportive heel
Dr. Rowland added, "If you feel like your toes are gripping inside the slipper to keep it on that, in turn, can cause the tendinitis or the plantar fasciitis."
