'Emily in Paris'-inspired looks to try now for less
"Emily in Paris" is the comedy-drama of a young American marketing executive from Chicago who is hired to work at a PR firm in Paris.
Just as Carrie Bradshaw's style became a main part of "Sex and the City," Emily, played by Lily Collins, has been seen wearing a plethora of bold and whimsical looks that take center stage on "Emily in Paris."
From Emily's hard-to-miss prints and patterns to her vibrant colors and textures, there have been many high style moments that scream, "Bonjour couture!"
Lifestyle expert Melissa Garcia joined "Good Morning America" to let everyone know why the show's fashions are so popular as well as how to reinvent five looks from the show.
While Garcia mentions that most people wouldn't wear the exact looks, as they are a bit more editorial, she does explain how they can be translated into more wearable "street style" looks.
"We can take inspiration from these 'more is more' looks and incorporate them into our everyday clothing -- and that is exactly what I am going to show you how to do today," Garcia said.

Statement prints
Emily was seen wearing a variety of different prints this season. The dress below has a fun and flirty print paired with a sophisticated silhouette, accessories by a very Parisian wide headband. "This entire look costs about $1000," Garcia said.
You can get a similar more wearable look for less by trying a matching sweat set, which is also great with Valentine's Day around the corner.

Vacation-ready
Emily's blue dress worn to a trip in St. Tropez was vacation-ready and very beachy. "It's a gorgeous periwinkle blue deep-V maxi dress with high-low detail. The back is completely open, super sexy even though it's still flowy," Garcia said. The entire look would cost roughly about $500.
But you can snag the look with a more wearable V-neckline and the same ruffle detail, but with more coverage, for under $100.

Mixed prints and bold patterns
Emily is known for mixing bold prints and patterns. These looks work because all of the prints are in the same color family. The beret was Emily's signature accessory in season one, and she's still wearing it," Garcia said.
She also wears vibrant Seymoure gloves designed with "Sex and The City" costume designer Patricia Field in almost every color. These gloves along cost $300.
Garcia advised that this look can be recreated with similar colors, patterns and prints.
