Looking to cover scars, veins or blemishes? Body makeup might be the answer
Goodbye pantyhose, hello body makeup.
It is that time of year when weddings, graduations, spring break and other fun outdoor events that have you showing more skin.
Whether you want to cover veins, blemishes or other imperfections, body foundations and body glows will leave your skin looking flawless for spring and beyond.
We tapped Tan-Luxe celebrity tanning artist Alexandra DiMarchi to share all her pro-tips on using body makeup to create an efortless glow.
How do you recommend applying body makeup?
"Always use a body blending makeup brush or mitt. Never use your hands -- it's messy and the product will not blend well. I like to use a tanning mitt to apply the product all over, and then blend with a body brush or beauty blender."
What is the main difference between body makeup and self tanner?
"Body makeup is a quick fix and self-tanner lasts longer. If someone needs a glow for one night then body makeup is great, if they want the glow to last a few days then I recommend self-tanner."
What is a body "blur"?
"A body blur or skin finish, as I like to say, evens your complexion and any skin concerns and gives your skin a light luminous glow without drastically changing your skin tone."
Is body makeup transfer proof?
"If you set your body makeup with a setting powder, it does help -- but most body makeups might get on your clothing. My personal favorite body makeups are Instant Hero by Tan-Luxe."
