How Miranda Lambert Is Moving on After Split with Blake Shelton
— -- Miranda Lambert has plenty to write about since her split with Blake Shelton.
The country music star, 31, opened up about her life since their divorce while being inducted in the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville Tuesday.
"I feel like a bigger part of Nashville than I ever have," she told the crowd at the event, according to Us Weekly. "I’ve been spending a lot of time here the last three or four months. I moved back here. I've never felt more at home."
After her split from Shelton, the Texas native moved back to Nashville, where she got her start in 2003 on the reality competition "Nashville Star."
"I’ve never felt more inspired," she told the crowd. "I listen to live music or I've written music basically every single day for the whole summer and it was my first summer off the road and I've never felt more ready to make music and learn from music and learn from songwriters."
Lambert and Shelton, who married in 2011 after five years of dating, announced their divorce back in July, saying in a statement, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately."
Their divorce was finalized days later.
Shelton told the "Bobby Bones Show" last month, "In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a pre-nuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or ten day waiting period until it's over."
