Kanye West on Kim Kardashian, North: 'I Have A Whole Family To Live For'
— -- For Kanye West, welcoming his daughter, North, with girlfriend Kim Kardashian, was not only a life-changing experience, but a life-affirming one too.
"After I lost my mother, there were times I felt like, I would put my life at risk. I felt like sometimes I didn't have something to live for," the singer told Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, in a new interview for Friday's season finale of her talk show, "Kris." "Now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for. A whole world to live for."
Kim Kardashian Says, "I'm Fully Embracing Motherhood
Kardashian, 32, gave birth to their daughter, North, in June and since then, the couple has maintained a low-key existence -- something West, 35, who is notoriously private, welcomes. But, he added, his new family is worth the pressure that comes with being in a high-profile relationship.
"I could have people saying, 'This [relationship] is going to damage your credibility as an artist or as a designer,' and I say, 'I don't care. I love this woman.' Or someone could say... 'Everyone knows you don't like paparazzi, why would you be with this person?' And I'm saying, 'I'm being with this person because I love this person and she's worth it to me,'" he said. "She's my joy and she brought my new joy into the world. And there's no paparazzi and there's no blog comment that's gonna take that joy from me."

Throughout the interview, joy is exactly what West emanated. When seemingly asked about being away from Kardashian (the question wasn't shown on camera), he smiled sheepishly.
"I just dreamed about being next to her," he said. "I keep saying it, but I don't want to start jumping up and down on the couch or anything."
