Lavish California Mansion Sells For $102 Million
April 1, 2014— -- Fleur de Lys, a sprawling estate in Los Angeles, has been scooped up by a deep-pockets buyer for $102 million, making it the highest price home sale ever recorded in the county.
Three anonymous billionaires duked it in a bidding war before one emerged victorious, settling on an all-cash deal for the home that included antique furnishings, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The lavish 50,000-square foot estate looks like a version of Versailles. The main house is reached by driving down a half mile long tree-lined private driveway, according to the Westside Estate Agency, which listed Fleur de Lys.
The estate sits on five acres in Los Angeles' Westside and boasts a dozen bedrooms.
It was previously owned by socialite Suzanne Saperstein, who first listed the property in 2007.
