Popular pizza chain Little Caesars is getting in on the "Spider-Man" excitement with a brand-new menu item.

The company announced Monday that it is teaming up with Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" to launch a "Webberoni Pizza," which is "inspired by Spider-Man's iconic web-slinging superpowers," according to a press release.

The new menu item features "a 'web' of shredded pepperoni and toasted cheeses on top," the press release states.

Little Caesars said the pizza, which comes with a two-cheese blend, is now available for purchase at participating Little Caesars locations for $8.99.

"Customers can also create their own 'webbed' pizzas by adding a 'web' of shredded pepperoni and toasted cheeses to any pizza for an additional cost (online only)," it added.

In addition to the new Webberoni Pizza, Little Caesars will be serving up its pizzas in "Spider-Man" inspired boxes, and starting July 6, every in-store and online purchase of a Webberoni Pizza will include an "exclusive poster."

"Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him -- and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him -- sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control," a synopsis for the film reads. "But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves -- a powerful villain no one can even see."

The synopsis adds, "The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them."

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures, and is distributed by Sony Pictures. Louis D'Esposito and David Cain serve as executive producers on the film, which is based on comic book characters created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
