'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': 5 Takeaways From New Trailer
— -- The third official, full-length trailer for "Batman v Superman" launched last night and the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place. We've finally been introduced to our real villain and it looks like there's hope that our conflicting heroes can find peace and unite to save the world.
Here are the top 5 moments from the latest clip:
1 - Meet Doomsday
"If man won't kill God, the Devil will do it," Lex says, as he creates Doomsday, the fictional character from the comics that actually did kill Superman years ago.
We then get our first look at the terror that is this gigantic, disgusting creature. This is going to be a tough one to take down. Did we mention he also shoots fire from his eyes like Superman?
2 - Superman and Batman Unite!
Finally, there's the first signs of a truce and the beginnings of Justice League. When Doomsday arrives on the scene, the heroes must work together to save countless innocent lives.
Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, all together are ready to face off against possibly the worst villain Superman has ever known.
3 - There's Humor!
This is new!
While meeting for the first time, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent chat at a Luther Corp. event. Things get heated until Lex Luthor steps in.
"Every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial," Wayne tells Kent about his newspaper, The Daily Planet. "Maybe it's the Gotham city in me. We have a bad history of freaks dressed like clowns."
Then a goofy Lex chimes in and says, "Boys! Bruce Wayne meets Clark Kent. I love it, I love bringing people together."
After shaking Kent's hand, Lex says, "That is a good grip, you should not pick a fight with this person."
See what they did there?
4 - Alfred Has No Faith
During a heated back and forth, Alfred says, "You know you can't win this. It's suicide."
Doesn't Alfred read the comics. There's Kryptonite!
Apparently Superman doesn't know about his Achilles heel either when he says "If I wanted it, you'd be dead already."
5 - Wonder Woman is No Joke
This movie isn't all about the guys.
Wonder Woman actually saves Batman's life in one scene as Doomsday is ready to use his heat vision to literally fry the bat. She jumps in and uses her powerful shield to deflect the blast.
