Aaliyah died Aug. 25, 2001 in a plane crash in the Bahamas at the age of 22. In her brief career, she collaborated with Timbaland on some of her most notable tracks, including “Try Again,” “Are You That Somebody?,” and “I Am Music.”
“Aaliyah music only work with its soulmate, which is me,” Timbaland told Revolt TV in 2013.
Their song \"Shakin'\" is included on Timbaland's mix tape \"King Stays King,\" which, according to Billboard, is a preview of the rapper/producer's upcoming album \"Textbook Timbo.\"
