This drive-in movie wedding is too breathtaking for words
When COVID-19 forced one couple to swap their wedding venue, they opted for a stunning outdoor reception complete with a drive-in movie under the stars.
Rachel Borwegen and Andrew Jaworski wed last month in Belvidere, New Jersey. The party, photographed by Abigail Gingerale photography, featured taco truck offerings for dinner and ice cream for dessert.
The movie playing was "Twister" starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. The bride and groom wanted to show a familiar film so there wasn't added pressure to pay close attention.
"It ended up being more perfect than our original plan -- fate I guess," Borwegen told, "Good Morning America." "My family has been throwing backyard movie nights for years. We took that and turned the volume way up."
Borwegen said she was inspired by photos of a Texas wedding, which she said had a similar vibe.
She added that she wants to thank her "amazing" vendors and 90 guests.
"The comment of the night was, 'How cool is this?' Everyone was really impressed," Borwegen said.
The newlyweds stayed home for their honeymoon but hope to travel to Italy next summer.
