3 clever DIY Halloween costumes you still have time to make

It's one of my favorite times of year now that my boys are getting the concept of trick or treating and dressing up in costumes.
This week, I'm sharing some of my favorite DIY costumes with "GMA" for whether you're riding solo or with a family in tow. Whip up these clever getups for weekend parties, school/office contests or just the big day.

Lego Men
If you have kids, you likely have a Lego fan. We love this idea that could work for so many characters (moms can go as Lucy A.K.A Wyldstyle). Search your favorite character and get creative!
What you need:
Foam poster board
Paint (red, gray and white)
Clothing to match (yellow gloves, hats, blue pants/red shirt for kid and grey suit for dad)
Scissors
Sticky-back Velcro for straps
Sharpie
Glue
How to DIY:
1. Cut 2 foam poster boards for each costume at an angle as shown
2. Cut Velcro straps to fit over shoulders and adhere to inside top of boards (back and front)
3. Paint as shown
4. Print out lego logo and glue to front of kid costume
5. Use Sharpie and ruler to draw suit and tie on dad costume
Raining Men Costume
Single girls unite! Put your fall trench to work in this LOL costume from StudioDIY, perfect for a night out or your office party.
What you need:
Clear umbrella, trench and rain boots
Printed faces of your favorite men (2 each)
Glue stick
Scissors
Sewing needle
Fishing line
How to DIY:
1. Cut out faces of men.
2. Cut fishing line at varying lengths
3. Glue matching faces together, printed side out, and slip an inch of fishing line in between.
4. Using a sewing needle, thread fishing line into seam of umbrella.
5. Dress for rain!
S'mores Family Costume
The next best thing to roasting s'mores is wearing them! This adorbs family costume inspired by Cheerios and Lattes is so simple to make and good for a few years as kids grow. Melt!
What you need:
Graham cracker
2 craft cardboards (or use craft paper over regular poster board)
Dark brown Sharpie
Self-adhesive Velcro for straps
Marshmallow
2 pillows
Self-adhesive Velcro for straps
White shirt
White pants
Hershey's
2 foam poster boards cut to size
X-Acto knife
Dark brown spray paint
Double-sided tape
Self-adhesive Velcro for straps
Silver paper
Foil
How to DIY:
Graham Cracker
1. Use brown Sharpie to add dots + lines to both pieces of cardboard
2. Cut Velcro straps for shoulders and adhere to boards
Marshmallow
Attach horizontal and vertical Velcro straps on the inside of the pillows. Strap on!
Hersheys
1. Cut 2 foam poster board down to be 11.75 inches wide (trim down length to what looks proportional)
2. Spray paint both posters chocolate brown
3. Cut 2 strips of silver paper (for "bottom" of wrapper) + adhere with double-sided tape on front and back
4. Cut out Hershey's letters from silver paper + adhere with double-sided tape to front
5. Tear off top corner on both posters to form a "bite"
6. Add foil crumpled over to look "opened"
7. Create straps using Velcro (attach 1 piece on each side of back of poster and cut strips to connect over shoulders)
