McDonald's and Netflix team up for all-new 'KPop Demon Hunters'-inspired meals
Fans of "KPop Demon Hunters" can now seal the honmoon with new McDonald's menu items.
Netflix has teamed up with the fast food chain to release the new themed menu items, which come in two different options, a Saja Boys meal or a HUNTR/X meal, inspired by the fictional K-pop groups at the center of the hit animated film.

The meals feature "exclusive photocards that unlock first-access content for a limited time," according to a press release. Additionally, the meals will bring "flavors from McDonald's restaurants in South Korea, connecting fans to the film through taste."
Both meals are available now at participating McDonald's locations for a limited time, while supplies last.
McDonald's Saja Boys Breakfast Meal, inspired by the Saja Boys, the film's fictional boy group, includes a Spicy Saja McMuffin, hash browns and a small soft drink (your choice of a little "Soda Pop").
The Spicy Saja McMuffin is described as a classic Sausage McMuffin with egg, but with a twist. It is topped with a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce, which a press release says is "inspired by the fire of Gwi-Ma."

The second meal offered is The HUNTR/X Meal, inspired by the film's central girl group, and includes a 10-piece Chick McNuggets, medium soft drink, and three limited-time menu items: Ramyeon McShaker Fries, Hunter Sauce and Demon Sauce.
According to a press release, the Ramyeon McShaker Fries are a "spicy, umami spin" on McDonald's traditional fries, and feature a "soy, garlic, sesame and spice seasoning -- inspired by Rumi, Mira and Zoey's go-to snack" in the film.

Those who order the HUNTR/X Meal will be able to sprinkle the seasoning into the McShaker bag before adding the fries and shaking to incorporate the bold South Korean flavors.
Hunter Sauce is described as a sweet chili sauce with notes of chili, garlic and pepper, while Demon Sauce is a bold mustard sauce with heat and tang.
Also new to the menu is the Derpy McFlurry, which is a new McFlurry flavor that includes creamy vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls and a wild berry sauce.

"Everything we do at McDonald's is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and 'KPop Demon Hunters,'" said Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald's. "Big things happen when you bring two massive fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit. We found authentic ways to unite our iconic worlds -- inviting HUNTR/X and Saja Boys fans into the rivalry in ways that feel true to the film and unmistakably McDonald's."
Marian Lee, chief marketing officer at Netflix, added, "We were able to turn the rivalry between The Saja Boys and HUNTR/X into something fans can actually experience, drawing inspiration from Korean culture and food traditions that sit at the heart of the film."
The collaboration between Netflix and McDonald's comes less than a month after "KPop Demon Hunters" took home Oscars for best animated feature and best original song at the 98th Academy Awards.
