From Nicole Modic of Kale Junkie to Rosalynn Daniels, aka the self-titled "Black Martha Stewart," hundreds of food bloggers and home cooks alike have hopped on the latest viral recipe trend with over 3.2 billion views on TikTok to make shaved carrot salad.
Daniels shared her spin on the salad with "GMA" and gave a heads up that "this salad is borderline addictive."
Plus, this ridiculously easy-to-make dish is also packed with nutrients like potassium, antioxidants, vitamin A and Beta - carotene.
Carrot Ribbons Salad
Ingredients
4 large raw carrots
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 - 2 teaspoons sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Crushed red pepper flakes
Sesame seeds
Directions
Start by peeling the outer skin of the carrots.
Use the peeler to shave long ribbons along the rest of the carrot and continue to do so until too thin to shave. Repeat on each carrot.
Add to a bowl, toss with vinegar, oil and spices. Grab chopsticks or a fork and enjoy!
