Outshine Fruit Bars voluntarily recalled due to possible glass contamination
Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. announced a voluntary recall this week of certain Outshine Fruit Bars flavors "due to possible foreign material contamination with glass."
The recall affects a "limited number" of Outshine Fruit Bars flavors, including Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry, according to a Dreyer's news release.
Impacted products were packaged in boxes containing six 2.5-ounce paddle bars apiece, with batch and UPC codes printed on the bottom of each box, the company said.
The recalled products were distributed to retailers nationwide, Dreyer's said, adding that "no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date."

"The safety and quality of our products is our highest priority at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc," the company said in a statement to ABC News on Wednesday. "While this is related to an isolated event, we have implemented additional controls to further strengthen our food safety systems and are working closely with the FDA to enhance our food safety practices across our operations."
The company added, "We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality and to earning the trust of our consumers every day."
A full list of affected flavors, batch codes and UPC codes can be found in the company's news release. No other Outshine products are impacted by the recall, Dreyer's said.
