A Texas mother dressed her seven-month-old in a different costume every day for the month of October, and we can’t handle the cuteness.
Erica Allen from Baytown, Texas, couldn’t decide what costume she wanted to dress her son Cairo in for his first Halloween. So she decided she would expand the costume celebration beyond one night.
“My husband always called me a very creative person,” Allen told “Good Morning America.”
At the store, she couldn't decide between four different costumes, so she bought them all. Then, she hatched what she called a "crazy" idea. For 31 nights, her son would have 31 different costumes.
She got to work crafting all kinds of outfits for her baby, ranging from a cup of noodles, a peanut butter cup to a Cabbage Patch Kid for the Halloween finale.
The mom who works full time and has two other children also staged photo shoots to capture each of the costumes.
“Everything came together, and Cairo he was a great sport -- a very calm baby!” Allen said.
Her favorite costume is the macaroni and cheese look, which she said only cost her about $3 and took 20 minutes to make.
When Allen posted the photos to Instagram, the received modest attention, but when a friend saw them and posted them on Facebook, the photos were a hit with 68k shares and 13k likes.
“It just went crazy,” Allen said.
Allen added that the online recognition was totally unexpected, and the appreciation for her hard work has been an answer to her prayers.
“I’m just overwhelmed ... and I’m thankful,” Allen said.
