Willow Smith reveals feelings about Jada Pinkett Smith discussing 'entanglement'
Willow Smith said she is one proud daughter after her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, opened up about her "entanglement" with singer August Alsina.
During Monday's episode of Red Table Talk, the 19-year-old shared her reaction to watching her mother and father, Will Smith, have a candid conversation about the extramarital relationship.
"I want to put it on the table. I'm so proud of you. To be able to see you and Dad do that, for me, that was like, 'OK, that's the real deal,'" Willow said. "That's real love."
Word of Jada and Alsina's romance first made headlines in June after the "No Love" singer claimed that Will gave permission for the relationship. Then, on July 10, Jada and Will shared their side of the story in an episode of the Facebook Watch series.
During the episode, the "Girls Trip" actress referred to her relationship with Alsina as an "entanglement" and clarified that it occurred at a time when she and Will were separated.
Looking back on the moment during Monday's Red Table Talk, Jada admitted that it was a very vulnerable moment for her.
"[It was a] full blast of, like, flaws, and feeling and just the total breakdown of any mask," the mother of two said.
Meanwhile, Willow seemed to take away some valuable lessons from watching her parents tackle the situation at hand.
"When you can be like, 'I'm with you. I'm going to stand by you and I'm going to hold your hand'... that's really important,'" she expressed.
