New clips from Wes Anderson's highly anticipated upcoming film "Asteroid City" arrived Monday ahead of its premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.
Scarlett Johansson and Jason Schwartzman appear together in one of the three newly released clips. The scene from the film, which is set in a fictional desert town in the 1950s, features the two chatting in a diner after Schwartzman's character, who is a photographer, takes a photo of her.
Johansson's character then calls him out for snapping the photo and asks what he plans to do with it.
According to the film's synopsis, "The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events."
Another clip released by Focus Features features three other cast members, Tom Hanks, Hope Davis and Liev Schreiber.
The famous cast also includes Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau and Willem Dafoe, among others.
The official trailer for the film debuted in March.
"Asteroid City" arrives in theaters on June 16.
