Amidst all the Oscars moments, Tyler Perry took the time to share a hilarious prank he pulled, involving his beloved "Madea" character, with his followers.
The entertainment mogul, who presented the Academy Award for best cinematography at the show, shared a photo posing next to a fake "Madea" poster he said he put up in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
"So when I played this theater (Dolby) I put up a fake @Madea picture with fake Oscars. I thought for sure the academy would have taken it down," he wrote. "Imagine my shock last night when I saw the photo still up. Too funny!!!"
The post was a hit with his followers, with many celebrities expressing their amusement in the comments.
Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, wrote, "That is hysterical!! I think it will stay."
"World of Dance" host Scott Evans added, "I love that it is still there!!"
Perry's "Madea's Farewell Play Tour" is currently running, and his latest film "Madea Family Funeral” is set to release next month.
This will be the final movie of the "Madea" franchise.
"I don't want to be her age playing her," he said on "The View" in October 2018. "She's had a great run and had a really, really great run. It's time to move on."
