Trailer for 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Station 19' crossover premiere event revealed
Get ready for a dose of drama. A trailer for the epic "Grey's Anatomy" and "Station 19" crossover premiere event is finally here.
"You survived the unthinkable. What are you gonna do, Meredith?" Kate Burton's Ellis Grey asks Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey in the first seconds of the clip, likely referencing the character's battle with COVID-19 last season.
In the minute-long trailer, we see Teddy (Kim Raver) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) ready to say "I do" after getting engaged in last season's finale while while Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) is in what appears to be couples therapy with Link (Chris Carmack) after Link's proposal in last season's finale. Spoiler alert: Amelia doesn't seem to be into the idea of marriage.
There's even a moment when Miranda (Chandra Wilson) asks Richard (James Pickens Jr.) a head-scratching question that makes us want answers. The question? "So you want to freeze people?" We need to know more -- and STAT.
The clip ends with the voiceover delivering a tease that's sure to get fans' hearts racing, dropping the bomb that "someone from Meredith's past comes back."
Could this be the highly anticipated return of Kate Walsh's Addison Montgomery? Or does "Grey's Anatomy" have more surprises in store for viewers?
The episode's description further hints at who this person might be, describing them as "a dynamic doctor" from Ellis' past, seemingly dashing the possibility that it's Addison.
Elsewhere in the trailer, we see the folks from "Station 19" -- back for season 5 -- dealing with someone stealing one of their fire trucks and taking it for a joyride, only to end up in a big crash. This seems to interrupt Owen and Teddy's wedding, with the patient needing to be transported to Grey's Sloan Memorial Hospital on foot instead of in an ambulance.
Tune into the big event when "Station 19" and "Grey's Anatomy" respectively return Thursday, Sept. 30, at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
