Tim McGraw's daughter stars in his '7500 OBO' music video
Tim McGraw's daughter is all grown up and starring in her dad's latest music video for his single "7500 OBO."
The music video is the first he's made since 2018, and features a young woman, played by his daughter Audrey McGraw, at various points in her life — learning how to drive, going to prom and experiencing the ups and downs of teenage love. It's all told from the point of view of the dark blue 2006 Ford F-150 that he sings about in the opening lyrics.
In the video, McGraw seems to portray a father reflecting on his daughter growing up. He later has to sell the truck that his little girl used to drive because, as the 54-year-old country crooner sings, there are "too many memories" attached to it. This is where the song's title is explained, as the father tries to sell the truck for $7,500 or the best offer.
This tune could line up with McGraw's own reality as his daughter is 19 years old. She's the youngest of his three daughters with wife Faith Hill — Gracie and Maggie McGraw are 24 and 23, respectively.
"I'm never gonna get her outta there / There's too many memories / Now there's a 'For Sale' sign in the window / Yeah, 'cause if I'm gonna let her go / I gotta let it go, yeah, it's gotta go / So it's 7500 OBO," McGraw sings.
At one of the most sentimental points in the new single, McGraw refers back to another song from his 1997 album "Everywhere," singing, "Shotgun ridin' down a two-lane road / Just drivin' around with no place to go / Us singin' along to 'Where The Green Grass Grows' / Hands out the window floatin' on the breeze."
"7500 OBO" is off McGraw's 2020 album "Here on Earth," which he released last August. The album is the 16th studio offering from the three-time Grammy-winning singer. Having debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country album chart, McGraw has had a No. 1 album on that chart for all of the past four decades.
