Teyana Taylor is on cloud nine after her Golden Globes win Sunday night.

Taylor took home the Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a supporting role in any motion picture for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another," delivering an emotional acceptance speech in which she mentioned her kids and more.

"Oh my babies, my babies are upstairs watching," she said tearfully onstage before telling them, "Y'all better be off them damn phones and watching me right now!"

Her reaction was met with laughter from the audience, which included her "One Battle After Another" co-stars Sean Penn and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Taylor went on and thanked God, as well as the Golden Globes voters "for seeing me and reminding me that purpose always finds its moment."

She also thanked her "tribe" and her mom and dad -- former model Nikki Taylor and Tito Smith -- saying, "To my mommy and my daddy, it's up for y'all anytime. I love y'all so much, thank you for being here with me tonight."

The actress ended her speech with a powerful message to her "brown sisters and little brown girls watching."

"Our softness is not a liability, our depth is not too much," she said. "Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into, our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space. Thank you so much, everybody."

Following her win, we're looking back at Taylor's journey and the family who has supported her from the very beginning.

Here's a closer look at the support system behind her success.
