Teresa Giudice breaks her silence about reuniting with husband Joe
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice is opening up for the first time about her family's trip to Italy to visit her husband, Joe.
Joe Giudice, who lived in the United States for much of his life but never obtained American citizenship, is currently in his native country awaiting a final ruling on his possible deportation.
He began 41-month prison sentence in March 2016 stemming from fraud charges, and upon his release earlier this year, he was held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in Pennsylvania.
Teresa Giudice told "Good Morning America" in an exclusive interview airing tomorrow that her family's visit was "pretty amazing" and full of "lots of laughs, lots of tears."
"We had the best time ever. It was so good," she said. "He said he cried after we left. He cried the whole day, he said. Missing his daughters. He was so sad."
Watch the exclusive interview on "Good Morning America" Thursday at 7 a.m. ET.
Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, both 47, have four daughters -- Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10 -- whom the reality TV star described to "GMA" as "mature and beautiful and smart." After she and Joe pleaded guilty to charges of loan and bankruptcy fraud in 2014, they were given staggered prison sentences, which allowed one parent to be at home with their children.
Teresa Giudice served 11 months behind bars in 2015 and has been home alone with her daughters for more than three years. In August, she dropped off Gia at college with the help of her brother, Joe Gorga.
"Congratulations to my beautiful daughter and niece on their new chapter in life. I’m so excited for both of you to follow your dreams and take what life has to offer you," she wrote on Instagram.
