'Star Wars: The Force Awakens': First Order Inspired by Nazis
— -- "Star Wars: the Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams spoke to Empire magazine and spilled some details about Kylo Ren, the new baddie in the series, played by Adam Driver.
First, he explained that "Kylo Ren is not a Sith," hence why he has no Darth in front of his name.
"He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force," the director of the seventh "Star Wars" film told the magazine.
Snoke, played by Andy Serkis, is the leader of the First Order, which was inspired out of history.
“That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again?’” Abrams added. “What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could [Darth] Vader be a martyr?"
