Sarah Jessica Parker's son is all grown up at 'Sex and the City' revival premiere
The "And Just Like That…" premiere was a family affair for Sarah Jessica Parker.
Parker, 56, brought along husband Matthew Broderick and their 19-year-old son, James Wilkie Broderick, for Wednesday's red carpet at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, turning the event into a family date night.
While the men in Parker's life looked dapper for the special occasion, with the "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" actor, 59, and James both sporting classic suits, Parker used the moment to channel her beloved character, Carrie Bradshaw.
The "Sex and the City" star wore a custom pewter silk chiffon Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress with magnolia hand embroidery and a matching cape. A blush tulle underskirt peeked out from beneath. Topping off the look were a pair of custom rose satin stilettos from Parker's own SJP Collection, according to Vogue.
Missing from the night out were Parker and Broderick's twin 12-year-old daughters, Tabitha and Marion.
"And Just Like That..." follows Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they "navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendships in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s."
While Kim Cattrall isn't back as Samantha, the revival series does feature familiar faces like Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and the late Willie Garson. New characters are played by "Grey's Anatomy" alum Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman.
"Sex and the City" aired on HBO for six seasons from 1998 to 2004. The show spawned two movies, one in 2008 and sequel in 2010, as well as a prequel TV series titled "The Carrie Diaries."
The first two episodes of "And Just Like That…" are now available to stream on HBO Max. There will be 10 episodes in total, with new episodes dropping on Thursdays.
