Prince Harry and Meghan join Ivanka Trump and more at designer Misha Nonoo's wedding in Rome
Prince Harry and Meghan are just days away from a whirlwind tour of Africa but took time for a quick trip to Rome to attend the wedding of friends.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed arriving Friday at the wedding of fashion designer Misha Nonoo and entrepreneur Michael Hess of the Hess oil family.
Nonoo has been a close friend of Meghan’s for years. Their friendship was recently on display when Meghan debuted her Smart Set capsule collection for charity.
Nonoo created the white shirt for the collection and attended its launch in London. Meghan spoke at the launch while wearing the shirt designed by Nonoo.
Nonoo and Hess attended Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018 and Nonoo more recently was photographed entering the New York City hotel in February where Meghan's star-studded baby shower took place.
In Rome, Meghan was seen wearing a black, puff-sleeve embroidered tulle gown accented with gold earrings and her hair pulled back in a bun.
Harry and Meghan were joined at the wedding by celebrities and other royals alike, including Harry's cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner.
The quick trip to attend Nonoo's wedding marks the second time this month Meghan has flown out of the country to support a friend. She made a last-minute trip to New York City earlier this month to watch pal Serena Williams play in the U.S. Open finals.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on Harry and Meghan's trip to Rome, including how the couple traveled there.
Harry and Meghan faced criticisms for flying on a private jet during their summer vacation in Europe. Not long after, Harry launched a new sustainability project, Travalyst, that's focused on travel and protecting the environment.
It has also not been confirmed whether Harry and Meghan brought their nearly 5-month-old son Archie to Rome or left him home in Windsor.
They do plan to take Archie with them to South Africa, which will mark their first official tour as a family of three. The tour kicks off Monday in Cape Town.
