Olivia Munn says her pregnancy was revealed before she was ready
Olivia Munn said she wasn't happy her pregnancy was revealed before she was ready to go public with the news.
The actress, who is dating comedian John Mulaney, opened up about the "stress" she experienced when the world found out.
"I think what was harder was when you have people talking about it and leaking it out there before I'm ready to talk about it," Munn said on Wednesday's episode of "The Jess Cagle Show" on Sirius XM.
The "X-Men: Apocalypse" star then explained that she'd seen four of her friends "lose their pregnancies all after the safe zone," with the losses occurring between three and six months into their pregnancies.
"I also have an autoimmune disorder and I'm 41," Munn continued. "So there are a lot of elements that come into play when you're pregnant. There's a lot of fear. You want to do everything you can to protect your baby."
Though she admitted she was previously "super interested" in celebrity pregnancies, that all changed when it was her turn and she realized "you feel like you have no control" over it.
Munn said the "stress" of having everyone know about her pregnancy "compounded everything."
She told late-night host Seth Meyers this was the first child for both her and Mulaney. The two began dating earlier this year, following the "Big Mouth" star's split from Anna Marie Tendler last year.
"I'm gonna be a dad!" Mulaney said in September. "I'm really, really -- we're both really, really happy."
