Nicki Minaj reveals she gave birth to a boy: 'I am so grateful & in love with my son'
Nicki Minaj has revealed the sex of her first child.
On Thursday, the "Yikes" rapper shared a few congratulatory messages that she's received from her famous friends, including Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, model Winnie Harlow and Minaj's "Tusa" collaborator, Karol G.
In the message, Minaj publicly revealed that she gave birth to a son for the first time.
"Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time," Nicki shared on Instagram. "It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world."
Minaj, 37, shared a photo of a handwritten note from mother-of-three Beyoncé that read: "Welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family, B."
A note from the Wests, parents of four, read, "Congrats! We love you, Kim and Kanye."
Karol G sent the rapper a card that read: "Congratulations on your new baby boy ... he's sure to fill your hearts with love." She added her own message to the card, writing, "Nicki, Congratulations! May God bless you and your family! Love you, Karol."
Minaj gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty on Sept. 30 in Los Angeles. The rapper confirmed her pregnancy in July with a series of stunning baby bump photos, including a glamorous shot captured by the famed photographer David LaChapelle.
Minaj and Petty tied the knot in October 2019, after having dated as teenagers and then reconnecting in 2018.
