Kristen Bell surprises fans at Savannah Bananas baseball game
Kristen Bell brought a little "Frozen" magic to the baseball field over the weekend.
The actress surprised fans at a Savannah Bananas game Saturday at Coors Field in Denver, joining the viral exhibition baseball team for a musical mashup featuring songs from "Frozen," "Wicked" and "Dirty Dancing."
Bell, who voices Anna in Disney's "Frozen" franchise, kicked off the performance from the stands by singing "For the First Time in Forever," which she performed in the 2013 animated film.
As Bell made her way through the crowd, Savannah Bananas pitcher and Broadway star Derek Klena joined in from the field with a performance of "Dancing Through Life," from "Wicked."
Klena made his Broadway debut as Fiyero in "Wicked" in 2013. He was also Tony-nominated for his performance as Nick Healy in the Broadway musical "Jagged Little Pill."
Bell and Klena then came together on the field for the finale, performing "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from the 1987 film "Dirty Dancing."
The pair capped off the performance by recreating the film's famous lift, with Klena raising Bell into the air as the crowd cheered.
"The mashup we never knew we needed🤩," the Savannah Bananas captioned a video of the performance shared on Instagram.
Klena also celebrated the surprise appearance in the comments, writing, "The kindest, most talented human! @kristenanniebell you are truly the GOAT!! 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏."
The Savannah Bananas are known for playing "Banana Ball," a fast-paced version of baseball with modified rules, while also incorporating choreographed dances and other entertainment into their games.
Bell's baseball appearance came one day after she reunited with her "Frozen" co-stars Idina Menzel and Josh Gad at D23 in Anaheim, California, where the trio shared a preview of the upcoming third installment in the hit Disney franchise.
Bell and Menzel, who voice sisters Anna and Elsa, respectively, performed "Frozen Heart" during the presentation. Gad, who voices Olaf, also performed a new song, "Samantha."
The stars also debuted new footage from "Frozen 3," which teased what's next for the characters, including Anna and Kristoff's wedding.
"Frozen 3" is scheduled to arrive in theaters Nov. 24, 2027.
