Kimberly Williams-Paisley shares 'rare' moment during Diane Keaton tribute
Kimberly Williams-Paisley says an unexpected visitor appeared as she was preparing a tribute to her late "Father of the Bride" co-star Diane Keaton.
In an Instagram post featuring a carousel of photos and video, Williams-Paisley revealed that she recently purchased two pieces that belonged to Keaton at auction.
"Recently I bought this hat and gloves from the Diane Keaton auction. I’m so happy to have some of her iconic style with me," Williams-Paisley wrote.
The actress said she was with friends carefully unpacking the items and preparing to photograph them when something unusual happened nearby.
"While my friends and I were carefully unpacking these items and getting ready to shoot this, a gorgeous, gigantic bald eagle landed in a nearby tree, stayed for a moment and then flew off," she wrote, directing followers to a video of the encounter included in the post.
Williams-Paisley said the timing of the eagle’s appearance felt especially meaningful.
"THIS IS SO RARE!! It definitely felt like Diane’s energy was around us!" she wrote.
Williams-Paisley and Keaton starred together in the 1991 comedy "Father of the Bride," with Keaton portraying Nina Banks, the mother of Williams-Paisley’s character, Annie Banks. The pair reprised their roles in the 1995 sequel, "Father of the Bride Part II."
Williams-Paisley also drew attention to a message on the hat she purchased from Keaton’s collection.
"The hat says, 'NO MORE WAR,' and she’d added a skull and crossbones," Williams-Paisley wrote. "So, I’m passing along her message."
She concluded the caption by noting that the tribute was "part one of two."
Keaton, who died in October 2025 at age 79, was known throughout her decades-long career for a distinctive personal style that frequently included hats, gloves and menswear-inspired pieces.
