Kate Upton shares photos from her Nov. 4 wedding to Justin Verlander
— -- Model Kate Upton and Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander flew straight from his team's World Series win to Italy for their Nov. 4 nuptials, but no one would know it looking at their wedding photos.
Upton shared pics and details from their special day exclusively with Vogue.com.
Just two days before their wedding took place at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, Verlander was on the pitcher's mound for Game 7 of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Upton was in the stands cheering him on. All their guests had already made the trip abroad.
But once the bride and groom arrived the party really got started, complete with games they called the "Uplander Olympics."
"Each guest received game-day rules, and everyone was divided into teams with custom Under Armour jerseys," Upton explained to Vogue. "The games included a ping-pong tournament, cornhole, a football toss, relay races, and an epic water balloon fight!"
For the rehearsal dinner, guests were asked to wear red. Upton donned a red Valentino gown while Verlander sported a custom-made red tuxedo jacket.
On the big day, the wedding party took over the garden at the resort which they had transformed into their own "secret garden."
Upton wore a lace Valentino gown she helped design and her eight-carat round diamond engagement ring that Verlander designed with Anita Ko.
For the reception, she changed into a shimmery dress with a plunging back and later surprised her new hubby with a fireworks display that lit up the Tuscan sky while they cut their cake.
Upton, 25, and Verlander, 34, first met in 2012 and became engaged in 2016.
