Justin Bieber stepped onto the Coachella stage over the weekend with a performance that felt more intimate than flashy, marking his first major live show in four years.

Headlining Day 2 of the festival, Bieber took a different approach from the usual high-energy Coachella sets.

Instead of elaborate production, he kept things simple, often sitting at a laptop and guiding fans through his music, both old and new.

He opened with tracks from his 2025 albums "Swag" and "Swag II" before shifting to earlier hits that helped launch his career.

Throughout the set, Bieber told the crowd he wanted to take them "on a journey," gradually revisiting songs that defined his rise to fame.

As the night went on, Bieber revisited some of his biggest early hits, including "Baby" and "Never Say Never."

He also played old YouTube clips and home videos -- a nod to how he was first discovered as a kid posting covers online.

Some of the most touching moments came when Bieber sang along with his younger self on screen, including a clip of him performing Ne-Yo's "So Sick" years before he became famous.

The set also featured guest appearances from The Kid LAROI, Wizkid, Tems and Dijon.

Bieber and The Kid LAROI performed their hit "Stay," drawing one of the biggest reactions of the night.

At times, Bieber appeared more focused on the livestream than the in-person crowd, referencing feedback from viewers and tailoring parts of the set in real time.

The format gave the performance a digital-first feel, aligning with the YouTube livestream that broadcast the show to a global audience.

The performance comes after Bieber stepped away from touring following health challenges, including a 2022 diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary facial paralysis.

His appearance at Coachella marks a return to the stage on a major scale.
