How Joe Giudice Is Preparing for Prison After Wife Teresa Giudice Returns Home
— -- Teresa Giudice is less than two months away from leaving prison, which means her husband, Joe Giudice, is drawing nearer to his own 41-month sentence starting in March.
In Sunday's final installment of Bravo's three-part special, "Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In," Joe opened up about how he is preparing for his life behind bars.
First, he's owning up -- somewhat -- to his fraud conviction with wife Teresa, acknowledging to attorney James J. Leonard Jr. that he's learned to "do things the right way."
"I didn't know I was doing things wrong in the first place," he told him on the show. "Basically I committed some kind of fraud with mortgages, and I know now it wasn't the right thing to do."
As for how he'll do his time -- with the possibility of deportation to Italy upon his release -- he said on Sunday's episode, "I ain't even really thinking about myself going to jail. When the time comes, you just go."
But he said he is looking forward to putting the whole sorry chapter behind him and the rest of the family.
"We're in this situation, we need to slowly climb out of it and never look back," he told his attorney.
Also on the episode, Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga had a tearful reunion behind bars.
"It's very hard for me," Joe Gorga admitted in the episode, "because your sister's back there like some chained animal."
