Jeff Bridges gives fans update amid cancer battle: 'Feeling good! Shaved my head'
Actor Jeff Bridges updated fans on the latest in his life since he announced in October he was battling lymphoma.
Seen smiling as he's resting on a hammock, with a furry friend in his lap, Bridges tweeted, "Feeling good! Shaved my head. Got a puppy - Monty. Had a birthday. 71, man."
The "Big Lebowski" star turned 71 on Dec. 4.
The Academy Award winner appears to be in good spirits, and pointed fans to his website, where he tried to drum up the downloads for a musician friend, John Goodwin. Bridges wrote, "musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days with the whole COVID deal." He linked to some of Goodwin's performances, and urged fans, "If you dig it, please support him with some moolah, some coinage, scratch, $, money...he can use the support!"
Lymphoma is cancer of the body's lymphatic system, which helps fight germs according to the Mayo Clinic. Treatment for the disease varies, but may involve chemotherapy, immunotherapy medications, radiation therapy, a bone marrow transplant or some combination thereof.
"Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good," Bridges wrote in October.
