Jamie Lee Curtis remembers mom Janet Leigh on what would have been her 93rd birthday
Jamie Lee Curtis recently shared a tribute to her late mother, Janet Leigh, on what would have been her 93rd birthday.
"Happy Birthday to my mother, Janet Leigh," the "Halloween" star, 61, wrote on Instagram Monday alongside old photos of Leigh. "The world will never forget your beauty, talent, grace and grit."
Leigh is best known for starring in films such as John Frankenheimer's "The Manchurian Candidate," Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" and Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho," for which she won a Golden Globe.
Curtis eventually starred in two horror movies with her ionic mother: "The Fog" and "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later."
In addition to being Curtis' mother, Leigh was also the mother of Kelly Curtis. She shared both daughters with "Some Like It Hot" actor Tony Curtis, whom she was married to from 1951 until 1962.
Leigh died at the age of 77 in October 2004.
