Hailee Steinfeld sounds off on joining Marvel's 'Hawkeye'
Actress Hailee Steinfeld is thrilled to be a part of the Marvel Universe.
The actress, who will star as Kate Bishop in the Disney+ series "Hawkeye" alongside Jeremy Renner, told ABC News that she was "honored" to be a part of the project.
"[I'm] so, so excited and honored obviously to be part of the MCU and be playing alongside Jeremy," Steinfeld said. "He's wonderful."
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, confirmed that Steinfeld would be joining the series during Disney's Investor Day presentation earlier this month. In the meantime, Steinfeld, who was recently photographed shooting the series in New York City, has also been hard at work on Apple TV+'s "Dickinson," about female poet Emily Dickinson. The two worlds, she noted, are quite different.
"Obviously, as an artist, as an actor, it's fun to be able to jump into different things such as the two. So it's been amazing," she said.
"Hawkeye" comes out on Disney+ in the fall of 2021; "Dickinson" season 2 hits Apple TV+ on Jan. 8.
Disney is the parent company of ABC News.
