'Dancing With the Stars' pro Witney Carson opens up about son's challenging delivery with new video
"Dancing With the Stars" pro Witney Carson shared an update about the joys of being a new mom after welcoming her first child, Leo.
The professional dancer, 27, recently celebrated that she can finally wear something a little more comfortable after her emergency C-section.
"Finally wearing real clothes," Carson cheered, but confessed that she is "still in a diaper" because "healing from a birth is no joke!"
Discussing her post-baby body, the 27-year-old wrote, "So proud of this body and what it went through to bring this angel boy into this world. We are absolutely in love with you little Leo."
Carson welcomed her son Leo alongside husband Carson McAllister on Jan. 3. Carson and McAllister, who wed in 2015, marked the arrival of their little one in a special video chronicling his birth.
Sharing the video to social media on Saturday, Carson revealed more about her difficult delivery.
"We waited so long for you baby boy! After 24 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, & an unexpected c-section we finally had you in our arms safe," she wrote. "This day was the hardest & best day of our lives. So in love with my little family."
The video, set to By The Coast's "World to Ourselves," captures the moments leading up to and after Leo's arrival. "He's so cute," Carson said as she cuddles Leo for the first time. "I love you. You're so cute."
The video was met with supportive comments from members of Carson's DWTS family, including Daniella Karagach, Brandon Armstrong and former dancing partner Frankie Muniz.
