Chrishell Stause opens up about relationship with non-binary musician G Flip
Chrishell Stause shared details about her relationship with G Flip, an Australian musician who identifies as non-binary, and what that means for her own sexuality in a video message.
The "Dancing With the Stars" alum posted a nearly five-minute clip to Instagram on Tuesday in which she addressed her romance with G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns, for fans who might be "confused or worried."
"For those that are open to learning (you're awesome) sex is anatomical and gender is how someone identifies. These two things are often confused," Stause, 40, captioned the post. "There are many more qualified people to speak on this but maybe I can be the bridge to those of you open to understanding."
In the Instagram video, Stause said "it is about the person" when it comes to who she loves, saying, "It is about their heart." She added, "I am attracted to masculine energy and I don't really care what the physical form is."
G Flip, 27, previously opened up about being non-binary in a tweet from April in which they wrote, "If strawberries were girls and blueberries were boys and you put them in a blender, you'd get a gender smoothie. I am a gender smoothie."
"They really feel like they are a mix, and they identify on both sides of male, female," Stause said of G Flip. "And so that's one of those things I personally find such a beautiful mix, and I think it's probably why we did connect on such a deep level so quickly."
The pair first met when Stause starred in G Flip's music video for "Get Me Outta Here," which releases Thursday. The realtor then confirmed they were a couple on the "Selling Sunset" season 5 reunion earlier this month.
The soap opera star concluded the video by telling the world she is "enjoying life" and is "really happy."
Stause's post garnered support from her "Selling Sunset" co-stars, including ex Jason Oppenheimer. G Flip even replied, writing, "Well said beautiful."
