Carrie Underwood Explains How Her Son and Dogs Got Locked in Car

— -- Back in July, Carrie Underwood faced every parent's worst nightmare: Her infant son Isaiah, along with her dogs, got accidentally locked inside a car.

Now the country star, 32, has opened up about what happened that July day in a new interview with Chicago country radio station US 99.5.

"We were at the airport, the car was running, the radio was on, the air conditioning was on, our family kind of came to see us off," she told the station during a break in her latest tour. "As you do, you get out of the front seat and you shut the door so you can turn around, so you can get your luggage out."

She then said, "Immediately, one of the dogs jumped up on the little control panel on the door, and I heard the thing click. I was like, 'The doors locked, the doors locked, the doors locked!'"

Without a spare key, Underwood and her NHL star husband Mike Fisher did everything they could think of.

"We were trying to jimmy open the car door. Nobody had a hanger," she recalled to the station. "I was trying to get the dogs to come back over and do the same thing and unlock the door."

Ultimately, it was Fisher's brother who saved the day, as she shared on Twitter back in July.
