Carrie Underwood covers Ozzy Osbourne's 'Mama, I'm Coming Home'
Carrie Underwood just released a cover of one of her "all-time favorite songs" from rockstar Ozzy Osbourne.
The country star performed her rendition of the classic Osbourne power ballad "Mama, I'm Coming Home" for her new Apple Music Sessions EP, which was recorded exclusively for the streaming service.
"I have always been an Ozzy Osbourne fan and 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' is one of my all-time favorite songs," Underwood said in a statement.
"I've always thought it felt a lot like a country song, and I've wanted to cover it for a long time," she added. "This was a really fun opportunity for me to be able to finally make that happen. I hope we've done Ozzy proud and I hope he likes it."
Underwood has displayed her love for rock music in the past. Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose joined her for performances of the band's hits "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" during a set at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in April.
Underwood in turn joined Guns N' Roses to sing both songs during the band's concert in London earlier this month.
