Bruno Mars Confirms Super Bowl Halftime Appearance
— -- It's been rumored for weeks, but now Bruno Mars has confirmed that he'll be joining Coldplay and Beyoncé during this year's Super Bowl halftime show.
Mars posted a picture of himself on Instagram standing next to what looks like a stage set up on the field at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and wrote: "It ain't a party if Mr $how Up & $how out doesn't show up." He added the hashtags #Confirmed, #SB50, #Halftime, #Coldplay and #Beyonce.
Another photo shows him standing on the field, with the caption, "Mars has landed #SB50."
Mars headlined the Super Bowl in 2013, setting a viewing record in the process, but that was broken last year by Katy Perry. Coldplay told reporters on Thursday that they'd be paying tribute to the past by inviting those artists whose halftime performances they felt were very memorable.
Super Bowl 50 gets underway at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday on CBS.
