How Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Began Their Relationship
— -- He's a little bit country, and she's a little bit rock and roll, but now Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are music's newest couple.
After weeks of speculation, Stefani's rep confirmed to ABC News that the two singers are dating just before Shelton hit the red carpet for Wednesday night's Country Music Awards.
While their current status appears to be relatively new, the two stars have grown closer over the past year, ever since Stefani joined Shelton as a coach on "The Voice." Both have gone through public breakups of their marriages.
Here's a quick look at their blossoming romance:

June 2015
Stefani signs on for a second season of "The Voice," telling host Carson Daly months earlier that her life changed after she joined the show. "Before that, I couldn't really write," she told Daly. "I wanted to, but my life was just so...I don't even know how to describe it. I'm trying to find the words. Please help me find the words! I couldn't write. It just wasn't happening and I was so insecure about it and then, it just opened up. It was like this channel just opened up."
July 2015
Shelton and Miranda Lambert announce their divorce after four years of marriage. "This is not the future we envisioned," they said in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
August 2015
A month later, Stefani and Gavin Rossdale call it quits after 13 years of marriage and three children. "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," they said in a joint statement. "To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."

Shelton tells CMT's "Hot 20 Countdown" that he's in a "good place" in his life. "It's amazing how quickly life can turn around for you," he said. "I've had some pretty cool things in recent times that have happened and I'm loving it."
A week later, he's spotted arriving at the Four Seasons in New York City minutes before Stefani, as speculation grows that the two are more than just friends.
The two singers spend Halloween weekend partying together. First they are spotted Friday at George Clooney's Casamigos bash. Then, on Saturday, with Stefani dressed as a cowgirl and Shelton in a Mexican poncho and trucker hat, they are seen with their arms wrapped around each other at Adam Levine's Halloween party. Later, they are observed holding hands leaving Jared Leto's private house party.
November 2015
Asked about the Halloween photos on Monday, Stefani told Carson Daly, "We're just trying to have fun, you know?"
The following day, she dodged Ryan Seacrest's questions about their relationship status, saying, "I'm not going to answer that right now, Ryan, I think I've given up enough of myself this morning to you." But she can't help but add, "I think he's hot, don't you?"
Then she said in a serious tone, "It is kind of crazy like we both went through the same thing at the same time."
After Wednesday's award show and the announcement that he's dating Stefani, Shelton shared his joy with his fans on Twitter.
