'The Bachelorette' Finale: Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth Reveal Their Future Plans
— -- Now that "The Bachelorette" stars Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth can be open about their engagement, they're able to move their relationship forward.
The next few weeks will include travel to their hometowns of Vancouver and Nashville, so that they can determine where they'll settle down.
"I think we love the idea of having a summer home in British Columbia or Vancouver and living in Nashville," Bristowe told reporters Tuesday afternoon. "I think that sounds pretty ideal."
Added Booth: "I think that might be the best!"
Either way, they want life to be pretty idyllic. Bristowe and Booth, who also spoke to ABC News after their appearance on "Good Morning America," agreed that life in place as big as New York City wouldn't be for them.
"I feel like we're just too simple for New York!" she said. "We want a backyard because we want dogs and I feel like you can't do that here. That's something I really can't wait for."
Kids are also part of the long-term plan.
"I want four and he wants five," she said. "A big family is on the way!"
For now, they're trying to establish what their new careers will be (the former bachelorette told reporters that they're considering doing something fitness-oriented together) and she's also looking forward to meeting her future mother-in-law, who did not appear on the ABC reality show. The little things are exciting too: Bristowe said she's excited to finally be allowed to post photos of her beau to social media, and explained the infamous Snapchat fiasco a few weeks back, in which she accidentally shared a photo of her and Booth in bed.
"I was having a panic attack," Booth recalled of the moment. "I was hunched over the bed and I couldn't breathe."
"We definitely felt really badly," added Bristowe, who only meant to send the photo to a show producer. "I knew that was bad. It was just a mistake. We felt sick to our stomachs."
And while wedding planning may not be their main priority at the moment, both had the same ideas when asked about what they want.
"I'm not picky and I've never been that little girl who dreamt about her wedding day," Bristowe explained. "I just can't wait to be in one room with all family and friends and that's the only thing I care about."
"That's what I was going to say," agreed Booth. "As long as we're surrounded by our family and friends, that's all that matters."
