Turns out Tom Brady’s recipe for success is a lot more delicious than we thought. The G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) has a favorite smoothie of all time.
"Tom's favorite recipe is a combination of the types of foods that he really likes, but also things that are going to help him throughout his day," Matt Denning, head body coach at TB12, told "Good Morning America."
"Tom’s been drinking this at least once a day for many, many years."
At 42, the all-star, former New England Patriots quarterback is still going strong. Which has us all asking, what is Brady’s secret weapon?
Enter TB12, a performance lifestyle brand co-founded by Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero with an online presence as well as a physical center in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood and makes Brady’s athletic training tools accessible to everyone.
"The TB12 method is a little unique compared to your traditional training method, it’s all about sustainability," Denning said. "That way you can either play football at 42 years old or you can just go on a hike during the weekend."
One of our favorite pit stops on the TB12 studio tour was the smoothie bar.
One of the most popular orders is "Tom’s Favorite," which the six-time Super Bowl champ himself drinks daily.
"I wouldn’t pigeonhole Tom’s favorite’ smoothie as a pre- or post-workout drink," TB12 nutritionist Tiffany Chag told "GMA." "For some it can be a meal replacement. It definitely has enough calories, but it’s really dependent on the person."
Chag taught us how to make it like a pro! Here's what you'll need"
5 ounces almond milk and 5 ounces hemp milk
Chag says almond milk is a great dairy alternative, and it’s high in calcium.
1/2 cup frozen bananas
"We put it in there for taste, flavor and consistency," said Chag. "It’s also a great source of potassium."
1/4 cup walnuts
Walnuts are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and, according to Chag, are a decent source of protein.
1 cup blueberries
"We put a full cup of blueberries in there," said Chag. "They’re rich in antioxidants, so we’re looking at overall health."
1 tsp chia seeds
Chia seeds are high in omega-3s, which, according to, Chag are great for heart health. 1 tsp hemp seeds
"These have a great omega-3 to omega-6 ratio," Chag explained.
1 tbsp almond butter
Almond butter is a great source of omega-6 fatty acids
1 scoop whey protein powder
"That’s our dairy option in this smoothie," Chag said. "We know whey is really great for putting on muscle mass."
