Rothy's, a Duchess Meghan favorite, launches handbags created from 100% recycled materials

Rothy's, the beloved brand that's often worn by Duchess Meghan, and known for its line of sustainable flat shoes, is now extending into handbags.

On Tuesday, the direct-to-consumer retailer announced an expansion into bags that features sustainably knit material created with 100% recycled materials including marine plastic.

"Chic, essentialist design," the brand wrote in an Instagram caption introducing the new line. "Quality craftsmanship."

The Bag Collection by Rothy's includes five structured silhouettes in a variety of different colors and prints.

Each of the new bag offerings are made with Rothy's signature 3D knit material as well as marine plastics which have been collected within 30 miles of coastlines from communities without recycling programs.

"Since the beginning, we've stitched sustainability into everything we do," Rothy's said in a statement. "And we're constantly evolving our planet-friendly practices because we know small steps add up to a whole lot."

Prices range from roughly $65 - $350, and the collection includes everything from fun, small pouches with camouflage print to brightly toned structural work-to-weekend totes you can carry every day.
