MORE: These bestselling travel space-saving bags are on sale nowTo help ensure your summer travel is stress-free and full of joy, "Good Morning America" tapped the best of the best to share their tips and products to help you pack like a pro.
First up, Marie Kondo. We all know and love the organization expert who taught the world 'the life-changing magic of tidying up'.
Kondo shared that the first step in packing is the prep.
"Lay everything out first and categorize by the type of item to help give a comprehensive look at how many items you have. Before you start filling the suitcase, pare down and be honest with yourself about what you really need – the fewer clothing options to choose from, the more you can focus on the joyful experience ahead!"
"Clothes should be folded into their smallest possible size to help save space. Thin fabrics are best to roll to prevent wrinkles," Kondo continued. "Pack your items vertically, so you can see them all at one glance."
In addition to Kondo, "GMA" chatted with TUMI's Creative Director, Victor Sanz.
"Always leave some extra space for that must-have item you may find along your journey -- expandable luggages are great for this," Sanz continued. "I always pack a large personal item, like a backpack, that fits everything I need, and then I'm sure to pack a smaller, get-around-town bag to use when I get to my destination."
