Dramatic video shows Good Samaritans rushing to the scene of a fiery crash to rescue people trapped inside a car that hit a Metro bus in South Los Angeles on Monday.
The accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. local time. The Metro bus was making a left turn from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on to Western Avenue when two cars travelling eastbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard struck the bus. A Mercedes-Benz hit the middle of the bus and erupted into flames. The other car hit the back end of the bus and then spun out of control, hitting other vehicles.

Fire officials said the Metro bus and a total of four vehicles were damaged in the wreck, and seven people were injured. Six of those patients were transported to local hospitals. The driver of the Mercedes suffered third-degree burns and was in critical condition, officials said.
The cause of the crash is still unknown, though authorities are investigating whether street racing was a factor, police said.
