Vice President Joe Biden Calls Out Trump's 'Malarkey' and Says He 'Has No Clue'

An impassioned Vice President Joe Biden tore into Donald Trump, assailing him as the least prepared candidate for president in history, calling out his "malarkey" and saying he had "no clue" during his speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night.

"He has no clue about what makes America great. Actually he has no clue, period," Biden said, as the audience cheered.

He also took on Trump's reality TV show catchphrase, "You're fired."

"His lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in the phrase I suspect he’s most proud of having made famous," Biden said.

"Think about everything you learned as a child, no matter where you were raised. How can there be pleasure in saying, 'you’re fired?'"

“He’s trying to tell us he cares about the middle class? Give me a break. That’s a bunch of malarkey,” he said, trotting out one of his catchphrases of sorts.

He also described the Hillary Clinton that he said he got to know in the Senate and over weekly breakfasts at the Naval Observatory when she served as Secretary of State.

“Everybody knows she’s smart. Everybody knows she’s tough. But I know what she’s passionate about. I know Hillary. Hillary understands,” he said.

“There’s only one person in this race who will be there. Who’s always been there for you. And that’s Hillary Clinton’s life story,” he added.

Biden also made a bittersweet reference to his son Beau, who placed his name into nomination at the 2012 DNC.

“You got a glimpse of what an incredibly fine man Beau was,” he told the audience.
